About the author:

Gunnar Helliesen is a certified class “A” car nut with a passion for Jaguars. He’s currently on his fourth, an XK8 Convertible called “Ms. Coffee”. Yes, that’s right, he names his cars. Class “A” car nut, remember?

His first experience with computers and programming was while still in school, on a kit computer built from discrete components, back in 1978 or ‘79. Since then he’s built, programmed, sat on, managed, networked, toppled, crashed, collected, praised, cursed, written about and sold computers all over Europe and the US.

These days he prefers to bypass computers entirely and program people, through the highly advanced programming languages known as “Norwegian”, “German” and, in particular, “English”.

Gunnar Helliesen was born in Bergen, Norway, in 1964. He still resides in Bergen, but travels a lot.
